A Business Leader That Wants To Help!
Hello there! My name is Ryan Martz and I am the 3rd Vice Chair for the Beaufort County South Carolina Democratic Party. In the fall of 2018, I ran for South Carolina House of Representatives District 120. We fought a good fight, but ultimately lost to the incumbent. After the race, I was asked to come on as an executive member of the county party and I agreed to help for 2019. My wife Jessica and I have lived in Beaufort County for almost 10 years and are proud to call South Carolina home! We have a 2 year old boy, Kieran, who is pretty amazing most of the time :)
My job as 3rd Vice Chair is to engage and organize the youth of Beaufort County. I consider the area "youth" as anyone aged 16-49. I am focusing on establishing Democratic clubs at all of the area high schools and colleges. I will also be working on establishing social groups in the area for anyone with interest in getting involved in the party to join the conversation.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to meeting you!

I began Best Gift Idea Ever (website), a retail gift company, while living on a mattress in my cousin’s living room in an Ocean One condo on Hilton Head in the summer of 2009. I saved up money from previous jobs and took a risk. Since that summer, my business has expanded to operate five corporate run storefronts in four states. as well as over a dozen other licensee retailers across the US. We have sold to over a quarter of a million customers since 2009.
I started another company, Fire & Pine (website), at the beginning of 2017. F&P specializes in burnt wooden artwork that is 100% made in Ridgeland, SC. It is expanding rapidly and we expect to double production by the end of 2018 and quadruple production by the end of 2019. We are also striving to be 100% green by 2020 by utilizing solar electricity and continue to use lumber species that are of least concern for endangerment.
Between both companies, we currently have about 50 fantastic team members working for us.
